Through our personalized guidance, expert advice, and supportive coaching, we make the college application process less stressful and more strategic. From course selection and school research to essay coaching and deadline management, we tailor our approach to each student’s strengths. We proudly support students of all academic levels and learning styles, including those with neurodiverse needs, and are dedicated to making the journey rewarding for both students and families.
My Story
I’m Carmel Promisel, founder of College IQ and proud mom of recent college grad triplets. I’ve been through the admissions process myself and know how stressful—and rewarding—it can be to receive the acceptance letter that lights up a teen's face.
With a B.A. in English Writing, an M.B.A. in Marketing, and over 30 years of leadership in marketing and analytics, I bring a strategic, thoughtful approach to college planning. I’ve helped top firms make big decisions, and now I help students do the same—by identifying their strengths and finding schools where they’ll thrive.
As an adjunct marketing professor, Eagle Scout mentor, and self-published author, I’ve spent years guiding young people to reach their goals. At College IQ, we help students create standout applications that reflect who they are and strategically position them for acceptance to their best-fit schools.
